5 Top Reasons to Choose Albuquerque
I’m sharing the top five reasons people love Albuquerque.
Today I’m discussing the top five reasons people choose to live in Albuquerque. It’s not all just city life and desert.
5. Low taxes. We have low state income taxes, and property taxes are at about 1.2%.
4. Affordable housing. The median home sale price right now in the greater Albuquerque area is about $226,000, which is on par with the rest of the U.S.
3. Food and culture. We have so much here, including a diverse culture. For example, we have the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and many different cuisines. In fact, our official state question is: “Would you like red or green on that?” Which means, “Would you like red or green chili on your meal?”
2. The weather. Truthfully, people come here for the weather. We have four distinct seasons, but none of them are extreme. We occasionally get a little snow, but it melts away within a few hours. Believe it or not, our leaves do change color in autumn, my favorite season.
1. Outdoor activities. If you like the outdoors, this is the place for you. We have a network of biking systems, a ski area on the side of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Tent Rocks Monument just outside of Albuquerque, and much more.
These are just some of the wonderful things about Albuquerque and why people live and visit here. This is an excellent place to call home.
